Faith

FAITH STATEMENT

The following is the doctrinal position held by Alpha Omega Academy. All personnel serving in any official school capacity are expected to personally hold to these convictions and teach them. Parents should have a clear understanding of the Biblical philosophy and functioning of Alpha Omega Academy. Parents should understand that all students of the school are taught according to the statement of faith.

We Believe

1. The Bible to be the only inerrant, authoritative Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21).

2. That there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent (Genesis 1:1; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30).

3. In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ (John 10:33), in His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:35), in His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15; Hebrews 7:26), in His miracles (John 2:11), in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood (1 Corinthians 15:3; Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 2:9), in His bodily resurrection (John 11:25; 1 Corinthinas 15:4), in His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19), and in His personal return in power and glory (Acts 1:11; Revelations 19:11).

4. God created mankind, male and female, in His image (Genesis 1:26-27). Rejection of one’s biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person. In disobedience, Adam and Eve sinned against God, which resulted in the fall of mankind. God in creation ordained “marriage” which only has one meaning: the uniting of one man, and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in scripture. (Genesis 2:18-25). God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other (1 Corinthians 6:18; 7:2-5; Hebrews 13:4). Any other form of sexual immorality is sinful and offensive to God (Matthew 15:18-20; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10).

5. God has provided salvation for the sinner through the redemption in Jesus Christ and the regeneration of the Holy Spirit (Titus 3:4-7; Ephesians 1:7). Salvation is by grace through faith alone (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 3:23-24; 5:1).

6. That faith without works is dead (James 2:17).

7. In the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life (Romans 8:9-11; Galatians 5:16-17).

8. In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, they that are saved to the resurrection of life and they that are lost to the resurrection of damnation (John 5:28-29; Acts 24:15; Daniel 12:2; Revelation 20:4-6).

9. In the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (John 17:20-23; Ephesians 4:4-6).

10. That all human life is sacred and created by God in his image. Human life is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions including preborn babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, in every other stage or condition from conception through natural death. We are therefore called to defend, protect, and value all human life (Psalm 139).
